" " It is with great sadness that the Ireland family announces the passing of Charles Edward Ireland of Winter Haven, FL and Fredericksburg, VA, on February 18, 2023, at home.

Charles was born on April 25, 1934, in Winter Haven, FL and was a lifelong resident of Polk County Florida. He graduated from Winter Haven High School as a member of the class of 1952. He enjoyed watching football, others sports and NASCAR. His favorite hobby, however, was visiting his neighbors in his lime green golf cart. Charles dedicated his life to supporting and loving his wife of 68 years, Barbara, and to raising their two amazing children and one grandchild, whom he loved to brag about, Debbie, Eddie, and Corey. He owned and operated a successful trucking business in Florida for over 40 years before retiring. Charles was adored by many. He will be loved forever and missed deeply.

Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Ireland; his brothers, William and Tommy Ireland; his sisters, Mary Frances Hawtin, Margot Ruth Bible, Betty Winborn, Barbara Dunn, and Faye Pope

Charles is survived by his wife, Barbara Ireland; his son, Ed Ireland (Linda); his granddaughter Jennifer Garner; his grandson Corey Elliott (Jackie); his great-grandson Christian Elliott; his great-granddaughter Mary Coletti (John); his sister Marlene Burch (Bill)
