" Kathleen “Kathy” Marie Ferguson, 70, of Culpeper, VA, died peacefully at her home on
Thursday, November 21, 2024.
A native of Columbus, OH, Kathy was born on May 21, 1954, to Arthur and Patricia
McAndrew. After moving to Virginia, she graduated from Osbourn High School. At 19,
Kathy began her career with IBM and worked there for almost 30 years. Later, she
enjoyed teaching toddlers at Sunbeam’s Children Center in Manassas, VA. After
retiring, Kathy’s love for wine and the Blue Ridge Mountains led her to Revalation
Vineyards in Madison, VA.
Kathy was a loving wife and an amazing mother. She was a caring person, always
putting the needs of others before her own. Kathy was a nature-lover and photographer.
She proved that strength comes in small packages.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Paul; son, Andrew (Lauren) Ferguson of
Reston, VA; stepson, Michael Lumpkin of Poolesville, MD; sister, Helen DeLozier of
Dallas, TX; brothers, Patrick McAndrew of Oklahoma City, OK, Richard McAndrew of
Chico, CA, Brian McAndrew of Manassas, VA, Edward (Amanda) McAndrew of
Mechanicsville, VA, and David (Martina) McAndrew of Hutchinson Island, FL; sister-in-
law, Nancy McAndrew of New Bern, NC; brother-in-law, Scott Fisher of Catlett, VA; and
many nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her brother Michael McAndrew of Austin, TX; sister,
Maureen Fisher of Catlett, VA; and parents."
