"Anita Dorlene Corbin was born April 21, 1958 in Kittery, ME. An Air Force brat, she spent her first years in Portsmouth, NH (USA); Fussa, Japan; Novato, CA (USA); Angeles City, Philippines; and Arlington, VA (USA). When she was 12, her father left the Air Force and settled his family in Lanham, MD (USA).

Anita graduated from DuVal High School in Lanham, MD in 1976. She began her working career as a clerk in a womens’ clothing store but soon moved to office work. She joined the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in March 1988 and, as a legal secretary, was the recipient of an Above and Beyond Award in 1992.
She continued working for FINRA as an Administrative Assistant III until retiring on disability in 2006.
With her son Justin, she made her home in Fredericksburg, VA.
