Life story
" Jeffrey Dale Barnes was a loving son, husband, father, pop-pop, brother, and friend. He was born December 5, 1960 and gained his wings November 17th, 2019, while at home in the comfort of his family. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Floriene Barnes, mother, Joyce Ann Fritter, and his sister, Shirley Ann Hohman. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Hall-Barnes, his children, Jeffrey Dale Holecek, Tanya Nicole Simpson, Candice Marie Barnes-Toohey, his son-in-law, Derek Allen Toohey, his daughter-in-law, Dianne Holecek, his grandson, Kaden Cox, and his granddaughters Kaley Cox, Brianna Pittman, Kiersten Johnson, and Kayla Johnson, and his siblings, Tommy Barnes, Marvin Fritter, and Cassie Arriaga. He met his loving wife, Barbara, on November 28th, 1984 and later on married July 2nd, 1988. They spent a beautiful life together for the past 35 years and loved each other dearly. Jeffrey was known as a hard working family man with three children whom he was proud of and loved very much; Jeffrey, Tanya, and Candice. Jeffrey enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and friends, watching the Dallas Cowboys play every game day, blasting George Strait's album "Pure Country" all over the house, and taking care of his Chevys, especially his Camaro. He was selfless, kind-hearted, strong, stubborn, hard working, and the one man you didn't want to have on your bad side. He always made sure his family was taken care of and well loved til the end. He earned everything he worked for and never took a day for granted. He enjoyed his career as a superintendent in Construction. Sadly, not long after achieving his goal of starting a business, Jeffrey was diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer. Jeffrey fought his battle for four hard yet cherished years. He found the strength in himself with the support of his loved ones. In turn, he proved the doctors wrong three times when it came to his time remaining here with us. During his sickness he made sure to never take a day for granted and always live each day to its fullest. Jeffrey will be greatly missed, always loved, and never forgotten. Those whom lives he was able to crossed paths with are blessed to hold memories inside their hearts. "
