"Stephen Patrick Henshaw, 69, died unexpectedly on March 27, 2020. He is survived by his wife Michelle Henshaw (nee Prytula).

Stephen was born on January 21, 1951, in Cheverly, MD. He was the middle son of James David Byrd, Jr., (deceased) and Jo Ann (nee Hunter) Henshaw (deceased). He attended High Point High School (Beltsville, MD), graduating from Chelmsford High School (Chelmsford, MA). He spent a brief time with the United States Air Force. He was predeceased by his two brothers James David Byrd, III, and Christopher Alan Byrd.

Stephen met his wife Michelle in September 1990; he knew the night they met that they were destined to spend their lives together. They were married in April 1991. They lived in Adelphi, MD, until moving to Dale City, VA, and eventually moving to Fredericksburg, VA. He worked at the Association of American Railroads (AAR) as a computer programmer. After leaving the AAR, he worked as a freelance computer programmer until becoming a full-time caregiver to his father-in-law for several years. In his spare time his hobbies included computers, helping others, and model trains.

Steve, as his friends knew him, was a fun-loving man who loved to make people laugh, he will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date."
