" Darryl Lee Williams departed this earthly life on April 1, 2020 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA following a short illness.
He was born on May 24, 1963 in Newport News, VA to the late Annie Pearl Williams. After leaving the military, his mother relocated to Laguna Hills, CA and he was reared by his grandmother, Annie Mae Williams and his uncle, James O Williams. At an early age, he was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
He attended public schools in Hampton and graduated in 1981 from Bethel High School. He loved playing basketball and served on his high school team. Following graduation, he worked several jobs, later becoming an electrician. He also enjoyed cooking, especially seafood, and worked as a short-order cook.
Darryl leaves to cherish his memory his friend, Lourdes Ragland, his uncle, James O. Williams and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother and mother.
