" He attended Stafford Senior High School then went on to become a carpenter and painter. His favorite hobby and pass time was catching those “big blue cats” on the Rappahannock River or talking about them. For year he participated in the VCA tournaments on the river. Gary was one that never met a stranger.
Gary now joins in heaven his mother, Nellie Mae Smith and paternal grandmother, M. Ruth Smith (Roberts), who raised him and whom he loved beyond measure.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
