" David Earl Short, 67 of Corrine, West Virginia passed September19, 2020
David was born to Estel And Pauline Short of Corrine, WV on April, 10 1953, in Mullens, WV.
He went to Mullens High School in West Virginia. He was a loving father and was known for his quirky sense of humor. He was a Fire Boss in the coal mines with Itman Consolidated, for 14 years of his career and also worked with DuPont for many years before he retired due to health.
In his younger days he enjoyed working on old automobiles and making them beautiful. He affectionately named one of his vehicles Sundown as it came from his love of the song. In the last several years of his life he enjoyed joking with the nurses and staff at Woodmont Center Nursing Home in Fredericksburg VA, singing and talking with his sister and daughter about memories from the past.
He leaves as his legacy two loving children: Spring Short and her husband Stanley (Boyie) Tabor of Glen Rogers, WV. And a daughter by heart Deanna Kay Cox and her fiancée Damian DeAngelis of Key West, FL.
He also leaves to cherish his memory three loving siblings. Francis Cook and her husband Keith Cook of Freedom,WY, Lou Bishop of Wyco,WV, and Ottie Short and his wife Vada Short of Spotsylvania, VA
