"Darrell had a free spirit. He was the most generous and loving man you would ever meet. He was a people person and never met a stranger. His greatest accomplishments were his wife and children. His world consisted of making sure they were taken care of. Walking into a pre made family and taking on the role as their father and earning the title "Daddy" and "Pop's" was something he took great pride in. He never referred to them any other way than his children. He was a man of many adventures and could tell stories for hours about them. He genuinely was a caring person and put other peoples needs above his own, but helping others out made him happy. He was a very hard worker doing construction his whole life. Often, taking on jobs for free or little pay to help someone out. He enjoyed reading , traveling and fast cars. He had a fascination with outer space and aliens. Often joking he was half alien. He was especially proud of his children's Comanche Indian heritage and loved learning and teaching them about it. Its never goodbye its till I see you again. As we look to the stars we know you are still watching over us. We love you."
