" Chris was the second of seven siblings. When he was young his brothers and sisters loved to tease him out of his sternness. As an adult his nephews and nieces remember him as a fun and loving uncle. He was a generous person, sometimes to his detriment. At home he was a handy man in many ways, from cars to plumbing to renovation. While he was far from us in distance he kept in touch with all that was happening in Michigan through a weekly Skype call. Chris was devoted to his work and was one of the most reliable employees of Virginia American Water as well as his former employer, Custom Automotive Services. Missing him in Virginia was sometimes difficult. Missing him in death leaves an unfillable gap in his family. "
