" Our dear sister Monica Lee Tantalo, 58 passed peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021 at her sister’s home in Ruther Glen, VA.
She was born August 11, 1962 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Richard and Patricia Tantalo.
Monica attended St. Norberts Catholic School, Carrick High School, studied at Duquesne University, and nearly completed her Master’s Degree in International Business. While
she attended college, she ran a successful home cleaning business to pay her way through school.
Monica was intelligent, funny, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to be silly and unexpectedly would burst forth in giggles making us all laugh. Monica loved animals. She was bold and adventurous in her younger years traveling to Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Monica is survived by her father, Richard Tantalo, Sr., and siblings, Tina Coffey, Rhonda Tantalo, Richard Tantalo, Jr., and Mary Chapman; several nephews and nieces, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Tantalo
Monica’s family and friends will be honoring her life at a later date. "
