"Diane Denise (Dee Dee) Dodson, 53, of Culpeper, VA died Thursday, May 20, 2021 at her home. She was born in Alexandria, VA on January 9, 1968 to Allen Wayne and Sandra Taylor Dodson.
Diane worked as a Customer Service Representative but had been on disability for some years. In the last few years, her health failed rapidly. She relocated to Culpeper two years ago after living in Beaverdam, Orange and Spotsylvania. She dearly loved her children and her family but struggled most of her adult life with self-worth and doubts. She loved the color purple, Unicorns, Smiley Faces, Kitchen Ducks, Sons of Anarchy, True Crime Stories, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Travis Tritt. Sitting on the front porch and reading VC Andrews were two of her favorite pastimes. She loved to party and we hope she's partying with the Angels.
In addition to her parents, Diane is survived by two children, Nicole Marie (Nikki) Dodson and Michael Aaron Dodson; the father of her son, James Bruce; one brother, Daniel Wayne Dodson (Erienne); one nephew, Cameron Michael Dodson; and one niece, Lauren Elizabeth Dodson.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 PM on June 5, 2021 at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, 225 Spicers Mill Road, Orange, VA 22960. "
