Gwendolyn Flora Hunter was born on July 9, 1957 in the Bronx, New York. She was educated in the New York City Public School System, where she achieved honors and matriculated at Suffolk Community College in Long Island, New York.
Gwendolyn was an avid tennis player and fan. She never missed watching the U.S. Open and Wimbledon. She was known for her loud screams of joy whenever The Williams Sisters would win a match. Gwendolyn also loved playing the violin, laughing and was an avid fan of The Wendy Williams Show. Her life was an example of the scripture, Matthew 22:37: " Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind"

Aunt Nana was my best buddy when we were in Misty Waters. She taught me things that didn't register until later in life. I'm honored to have known her.
