"Rebecca Shriver Lucid passed away peacefully at her home in Spotsylvania, Virginia on Monday, July 26, 2021. Becky was born in Westminster, Maryland in 1935. She attended Georgetown Visitation High School in Washington, DC, as a boarder, and graduated with a degree in biology from The College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, Maryland. Becky spent her early career as a bacteriologist at the National Canners Association. She raised two daughters in Bethesda, Maryland volunteering with the Junior League of Washington and at the libraries of Wood Acres Elementary School, Western Junior High School and Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. In 1987 she earned her real estate license and sold real estate in the DC area for 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband John Francis Lucid and is survived by her daughters Punky Scruggs and Muffy Sackville-West, their husbands and five granddaughters.
