"Vinita was born on November 21, 1943 in Seagraves, TX. She was in food service management until her retirement in 1999. She passed away peacefully in her home after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by husband Erwin Lemmon Jr. (Woodford, VA), sister Rose Chapman (Wiggins, MS), and daughters Melody Dickey (Michael, Ruther Glen, VA), Waynette Smith ( Henrico, VA), and Valerie Nierman (Ruther Glen, VA). Vinita is also survived by nine Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren. Vinita was known for her love for the Christmas season and decorating her home for the holidays. Due to her love for the Christmas season a memorial service will be held in early December.
