Life story

"We regret to announce the passing of Brian Albert Seeling, 60, of Spotsylvania, VA, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on the evening of November 24, 2021.

Brian was born on November 1, 1961, to Ralph and Helen DeGrasse in New Orleans, LA. He was adopted by Edmond J. Seeling on September 18, 1974. He moved to Virginia in 1969 where he established his family roots and became a general contractor, mastering his craft over several decades. Brian was known for his passion for Chevys, God, and bringing a laugh to all of his friends, but most importantly he was known for his love of being a father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his mother Helen Roy Bowen, father Edmond Seeling, and granddaughter Payton Joy Hodges. He is survived by his older sister Brenda DeGrasse and older brother Mike (Cathy) DeGrasse, his six children, Stephanie (Chermail) Reigelsperger, Brenda Reigelsperger, Brian (Daryl) Seeling, Jr., David Seeling, Amber (Brandon) Hodges, Joy (Chris) Embrey, and his 17 grandchildren.

A private service for his immediate family was held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. A memorial service for extended family and friends will be held at a future date, and information will be disseminated as soon as it becomes available. "

Mr. Seeling built our house in 2005 - 2006 and skipped out on final work. He refused to return to finish the work and held us captive at the closing. The judgment we received against him was for $60, 000, as he never showed up in court and he avoided paying by moving constantly and hiding assets. He was on the run in 2007 and skipped to Louisiana to avoid court appearances. He was NOT a Godly man as he cheated many people as shown by the 22 judgements against him in many states and counties. His head stone should read, he fooled some of the people most of the time, but didn't fool God any of the time.
