" Tommy Lee, 62 of Spotsylvania Virginia, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, December 3, 2021.
Tommy Lee was born on December 23, 1958, to late Young Tsong Lee and Evelyn Moore Lee in Brooklyn, NY. Tommy graduated from Lehman College in 1980 with a Bachelors in Business Management. Tommy went on to manage and develop several businesses. He received a promotion to Regional Sales Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club in 1998 and relocated from New York City to Spotsylvania, Virginia. He opened up several Bj's Wholesale Clubs throughout Virginia before opening and partnering with other small businesses/business owners. Everyone loved doing business with him. They admired his honesty, work ethic, accountability and caring ways. Many may remember him from the Virginia Bazaar near the food court, The Log Cabin Market, Manor Mart, Massaponax Flea Market, Four Mile Treasures, Two Times New and many other places.
Tommy Lee’s family survived and started by his loving wife of 41 years Jacqueline Darlene Lee. Tommy and Jacqueline had four children; Shanekqua Rivera, Tawana Lee, Maliek Lee, and Olando Lee. Between his four children, Tommy and Jacqueline had six beautiful Grandchildren; Dasani Melendez, Kayla Rivera, Amerie Lee, Holly Lee, Eli Rivera, Anya Lee and two beautiful twin great-granddaughters; Samiah and Sariah Lawson. He was preceded by his parents, his brother William, Sister Mary Lee and Brother Jimmy Lee who passed away one week prior to him and survived by his youngest sibling Adele Lee, and several nieces and nephews.
Tommy Lee understood his purpose and role in sharing daily spiritual positivity and the philosophy of life with everyone. He believed he had to share it in order to attain it. Some of his favorite quotes he loved to share with others were:
”We have to awaken to who we are spiritually beyond our history.”
“Know yourself beyond the human/flesh world, there's a spiritual world that's more important than physical.”
”Were ALL connected by one source.”
“Whatever is happening is meant to happen.”
“Right now, this moment is all we ever have.”
“Feel the energy of self and surrounding life force, appreciate life, focusing on breathing
Last but not least, practice Acceptance, non-hatred, non-greed, non-attachment.”
He not only quoted these affirmations he lived by them and made sure everyone he met knew them by heart.
Tommy was the ultimate family man and would do anything to provide for his family. He loved everyone in the world and worked closely with friends and families in the community. Some of the dreams and goals he had was to write a children's book and hand carve a bank that would teach children how to save, invest, and donate. He was a natural born leader and favored by God. He walked around with a smile on his face and love in his heart regardless of what he was going through. Tommy was courageous, charismatic and enthusiastic, his personality lit a dull room, he inspired, motivated, and influenced anyone who consciously connected with him. He will be dearly remembered and loved eternally by his family and friends.
