Life story

" Daniel Joseph Sweeney, also known as Dan, Dad, or Popsy, passed away on April 8, 2022 at age 88. He is survived by his 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Dan served in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He held multiple jobs in sales and retired in the mid 90s from Unifirst Corporation. After fully retiring, he moved from Waldorf, Maryland to Ellenton, Florida where he enjoyed the weather. Dan was extremely honored and liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with family and his best friend, DJ. He loved to play cards and visit the local casinos.

Dan was an amazing man. Such a sweet soul. Best friends with my father DJ. He would always get my dad at the house. They would go out to eat, visits to West Virginia and boy they would hit up those casinos. They enjoyed each others company so much.. My dad is missing you Dan. We love you, rest easy. Watch over him please. He lost Robyn his grand daughter on the 4th and you his best friend on the 8th. If you see Robyn can you tell her we love and miss her ♡
