" Nancy was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 22, 1938. She is survived by her husband, Forrest “Buff” Miller, her sons, Jeffrey (Janice), James (Valerie), Christopher (Kimberly), six grandchildren, Bradley (Tory), Molly (Byron), Andrew, Davis, Connor, Ethan, and one great-granddaughter, June Marie Miller. Nancy moved to Bethesda, MD with her family at a young age, where she spent most of her childhood and teenage years. After graduating from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, she attended Penn Hall Junior College. She transferred to Michigan State University where she met the love of her life, Forrest “Buff” Miller.
They were married on August 20, 1960 and had three sons over the course of the next eleven years. After living in Michigan for about four years, they moved to the DC metropolitan area and spent the next twenty-three years raising a family and making a huge circle of friends. After a short stint in Austin Texas , Nancy and Buff retired in Myrtle Beach , SC where they spent 27 years. They decided to move back to the DMV to be closer to their kids and grandkids in their twilight years.
Nancy was an avid reader, Bridge enthusiast, loved to knit and needlepoint and do crossword puzzles. She had a large circle of friends and loved to spend time with family. She volunteered at her children’s schools and other organizations. She was a fantastic wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all. "
