"Deborah Lynn Harper of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed peacefully on April 19th, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Goldsmith of Marshall, Virginia. She is survived by her mother, Peggy Goldsmith, of Marshall, Virginia; her sister, Jacqueline Downs (husband Carl), of Brandon, Florida; her son Bradly Carpenter (wife Christine) of Milford, Virginia; her son Gabriel Harper of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her grandson Malachi Carpenter of Milford, Virginia; and friends Jennifer Gery and Ralph Stewart of Pensacola, Florida.

Deborah was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a skilled cosmetologist, and always felt at home in a hair salon. Compassionate and selfless, Deborah's favorite activity was bringing a smile to those she loved. The number of lives she positively impacted are too numerous to be listed. We are all better people for having known her. "
