Age 40

"Timothy "Tim" Jay Geer was born in Nashua, NH, on February 6th, 1982. He grew up in Merrimack and attended local schools. He earned many nicknames, most notably "Timmy Jay Buh-Bay." Timmy was passionate about animals and cared deeply for many dogs and cats throughout his life. He was a lifelong New England sports fan who never missed a game. He was interested in broadcast journalism and enjoyed discussing sports on TNJ Radio, a podcast he created with a friend. Timmy was often the life of the party but was also the first guest to fall asleep. He made friends easily and enjoyed one-on-one conversations, just shooting the breeze. Timmy never missed an opportunity to passionately defend his opinion on any topic. He often bragged about making "the best steak and cheese sub in all of New England." He had an affinity for cracking wise and loved making the people around him laugh. He used this skill to lighten the mood when he was late for work, school, important events, and anything in between. In fact, Timmy "Geer-anteed" that he would never show up on time to anything, ever.

Timmy moved to Fredericksburg, VA, in 2016 and remained there for the rest of his life. He was a beloved friend, brother, cousin, and uncle. He was predeceased by his parents, Phil and Penny Geer. Timmy leaves behind his sister, Bethany Duhaime, her husband, Greg, and their children, Marshall and Carter, of Keene, NH; his sister Carly Jo Geer and her partner Eric Sheppard, of Chicago, IL; and cousins Dustin and Jessie Mack, who were as close to him as siblings. Timmy also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will also be dearly missed by lifelong best friend Bryan Greenleaf, his wife, Christie, and their three children, of Fredericksburg, VA; and long-time friend Joel Signoretti and his wife, Jennie, of Nashua, NH. Timmy had only sisters, but Bryan and Joel were his chosen brothers.

Two Celebrations of Life will be held at future dates, one in Virginia and one in New Hampshire. Timmy was not a traditional guy and did not want a conventional funeral. He will be cremated, and we will honor him by throwing his favorite type of party, a bonfire. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity in Timmy's name. Suggested charities include The Last Prisoner Project, the Community Hospice House of Merrimack, the American Cancer Society, or your local animal shelter.

"See ya in another life, brotha.""
