" Daniel Clifford Wilhite, 58, of Warrenton, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2022. He was born January 5, 1964 in Los Angeles, California. Danny lived most of his life in Eugene, Oregon, relocating to the east coast in 2010 for work and settling in Warrenton in 2015. He was a daredevil from childhood and never wanted to do anything halfway. He worked for the Department of the Treasury and the Department of the Army. Danny was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, an avid hunter, fisherman, and motocross enthusiast. He loved to make people laugh, never knew a stranger, and was quick to lend a helping hand. Danny was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and best friend. He is survived by his mother, Betty Mitchell Wilhite, daughter, Brittani Smith (Wilhite) and husband Tyler, sisters Shellie Bower and Julie Magnuson and husband Bryan, brother Donald A. Wilhite, grandchildren Alice and Everett Smith, numerous nieces and nephews and best friend Polly Dietz. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald O. Wilhite.
There is no public service or visitation planned at this time. A celebration of his life will take place in Oregon in August."
