" Ralph C. Farber, 85, of Coplay Pennsylvania, passed away on August 14th, 2022 in hospice care surrounded by his family. Ralph was the husband to the late Rose M. Farber of 36 years, who died just a few months prior. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Russell and Viola (Herman) Farber. Ralph served in the US ARMY and received an honorable discharge in December 1965. Employed as head custodian, Ralph retired after 30 years of service from Allentown School District in 1998. Upon retirement, he decided to devote his days to going to the Northampton Recreation Center to stay physically fit, or you could catch him running throughout the town preparing for an upcoming 5k! Ralph enjoyed running in races as well and placing 1st place within his age group, 75+. He also enjoyed going to the casinos, watching action movies and visiting with his many lifelong friends, and lottery tickets. Ralph was very proud of his children and grandchildren and would often be seen carrying around photos of loved ones to show off to everybody. He also had another love, his 1967 T5 Mustang that he would drive around ONLY on sunny days and looked forward to getting it out of the garage after a long cold winter! He was also very proud and vocal about never owning a cellphone and only paying with cash, as he would describe as "oldschool". Ralph had a few episodes of health scares over these last few years, but he was a fighter up to the very end, however, would ultimately lose his courageous fight with cancer. Ralph was known to be stubborn, but he was also a man willing to lend a hand where he could, including the 15 Gallon donation over the years to Miller Keystone Blood Bank. A devoted father, pop-pop, friend and customer who will be missed by many.
He is survived by daughters, Christina M. Faeth of Virginia, Amy L. Beltrame of Northampton and Stacy L., wife of David G. Pribulka of Harrisburg; Son, Ray Farber of Arizona; Grandchildren, Kelsey, Korey, Laura, Payton, Julien, Arianna, Andrew, and Gabriel. In addition to his parents Russell and Viola, he was predeceased by his spouse, Rose Marie Farber; brothers, Raymond Farber of Allentown, James R. Farber of Wescosville and Russell Farber of Macungie.
A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be mailed to the family at 102 Robin Lane, B4, Hummelstown, PA 17036. In lieu of gifts, contributions may be made in Ralph's memory to the Lehigh County Humane Society OR Miller Keystone Blood. "
