    " Eric Christopher Whited, 55, of Spotsylvania, joined his Lord in Heaven on December 1st, 2022 while at home, surrounded by his family. Eric was born on June 3, 1967 to Larry and Sharon Whited in Sidney, Ohio. After graduating from Camp Lejeune High School in 1985, he went on to pursue his passion for law enforcement and later become a deputy for the Culpeper County Sherriff's office where he served for many years.

    He took many courses at Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy over the years, graduating top overall graduate in jail basic. His career also included working as a Security Officer for the Navy Federal Headquarters in Vienna and ended as a TSA Officer at the Charlottesville/Albemarle Airport.
    He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma/Plasma Cell Lukemia in July of 2021 and courageously fought an aggressive battle until the end.

    Eric was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, and loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Tammy, of 30 years, daughter Brittany; and parents Larry and Sharon Whited. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene & Marion Taulbee; and Arnold & Jane Whited.

    A memorial service open to family and friends will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, VA at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December, 14th 2022, followed by a reception. A private burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Eric's name, to St. Patrick's Catholic Church 9149 Ely's Ford Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. "

Erics Legacy to his family is the same Legacy given to him by his Family. A Legacy of Love, Respect, Responsibility ,Accountability and Faith. His fight showed that he learned this lesson well. He fought his fight with Dignity and Faith. As much as his Loved ones and Friends wanted to have him here he heeded the words he heard...
