" Mary Shomo Talbott “Micky” of Locust Grove, VA passed away on January 1, 2023 in Fredericksburg, VA. Micky was the daughter of the late Frank Shomo and Sylvia Shahan Shomo. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard K. Talbott, her brother Robert Shomo, and her sisters Doris Whittall, Eleanor Wolf, and Virginia Saunders.

Survivors are her sister, Nancy Fullerton of Melbourne, FL, three daughters, Theresa Ann Wright and her husband Duane of Laurel, MD, Vicky Lynn Hyre of Maryville, TN, Saundra Christy Allyson of Fredericksburg, VA. She was known to all her grand children as “Grammy.” They are James Hyre, Matthew Hyre, Jennifer Sublett and her husband Jake, Courtney Fitzpatrick and her husband Casey, Brandon Wright and his wife Alisha, Lindsey Lucas and her husband Damon, and nine great grand children.

Micky worked for Social Security Administration until her retirement. She and her husband, Richard Talbott, moved from Vienna, VA to Lake of the Woods in 1999. Their home was designed and built by her husband. She was very active in the Lake of the Woods community. Over the years she participated in LOW’s garden club, the book club, and the church library. She loved to garden, read books, crafting, playing Bunco, and her family.
