" Frank Gonzales Valdivia, 95, of Spotsylvania, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2022 surrounded by family.

Frank was born in Arcadia, California on July 24, 1927. He retired from Lockheed Martin Aerospace Company after 27 years of service. In 2002 he joined the Fredericksburg Police Department where he served as a parking enforcement officer for 13 years.

Frank was a loving husband, father, step-father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend. He loved his family, loved to travel and enjoyed meeting and talking to people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, three sisters, one daughter, Virginia Schneider and sister-in-law Martha Shelton.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Shelton Valdivia, his children Delia Galloway (Gary), Stephen D. Valdivia (Bernice), Vincent Valdivia (Rebecca), Leila Renee Keegan (Marty), Val Valdivia, Geoff Valdivia (Kelly), Angela Moore (Joseph), Stephan P. Valdivia; his step-children Crystal Peyton and Richard Peyton II (Amanda); his sister-in-law Marsha Loving (Dennis), his brother-in-law Craig Shelton (Fonda); eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1710 Bragg Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407
