" She was born in Richmond, VA and grew up in Falls Church, VA. In her older years, she lived with her partner James, in Heathsville, VA for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and spending time in the outdoors. The last few years, she has lived in Spotsylvania, VA with her daughter and son in law. She died peacefully at home after fighting a battle with colon cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Marie Mintz (husband, Gregory), sons, Joseph W. Negus, III and Brian A. Negus and her grandchildren, Philip, Caitlin, Justin and Kristin. "
