" Gregg left us suddenly on 6/3/2023 after a courageous battle with end stage kidney disease. Gregg served for the US Army during the Ronald Reagan Administration as a supply clerk, boxer, sharp shooter, on honor guard for funeral detail and fought in the Grenada conflict.

In recent years, Gregg enjoyed living on the lake, watching storms, sitting on his deck, talking to his pets and going on food tours in Ruther Glen and Fredericksburg. He embraced a slower paced life and often remarked how much he loved the country. He would have loved to be a Big Foot adventurer and he enjoyed watching fishing shows, Ancient Aliens, Swamp People and other such adventurer shows.

He is survived by his wife, Theia Trusselle; his sister, Sheri Tompkins Walker and husband, Bryan Walker; his brother, Scott Tompkins, and wife, Becky Tompkins; daughters Laura Tompkins and Tequilla Williams; and step-children Jordan Kanu , Aubrey Kanu and Michael Lindsey.

Gregg will be missed by family and friends that he collected on his journeys. "
