Life story

"Matthew “Matt” Jackson, 75, of Stafford VA, peacefully transitioned from this life into the arms of our Heavenly Father on January 30, 2024. Matt was kind and had a gentle soul. He was strong in his faith and lived everyday with the conviction of sharing the goodness of God with those he met. He was a lifelong active member and pillar of Shiloh New Site Baptist Church in Stafford, VA. Whether performing duties of the Treasurer, making sure the church grounds were cared for or blessing the choir with his beautiful voice, Matt did everything out of love.
Matt is preceded in death by his parents Beverly and Sadie Jackson, Aunts: Gladys Hedgespeth, Mary Clark Allen and Fannie Clark Jackson. Uncles: Carol Clark, Thomas “Tiff” Allen and William Jackson. Cousins: William Jackson, James Allen and Clifton Hedgespeth. Matt leaves to cherish his memory a Brother Charles Eugene “Genie” Jackson. Cousins: Thomas Allen, Curtis Allen, John Hedgespeth, James Hedgespeth, Maria Clark and Cecil Nelson. He also leaves many extended families and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Shiloh New Site Baptist Church in Stafford at a later date.
